Repair in Long BeachAlley garages, 1920s bungalows, mid-century tract homes and salt air that eats hardware. We work Long Beach constantly — it’s the far end of our own area code.

Long Beach housing stock is unusually mixed, and the garage tells you which era you’re standing in. Three patterns account for most of our calls here.
Salt air. Anything within a mile or two of the water — Belmont Shore, Naples, Bluff Park, Alamitos Beach — corrodes faster than inland hardware. Springs, cables, rollers, hinges and the bottom bracket all take it. A cable that would give you ten years in Whittier can start fraying in six near the beach. It’s the main reason we tell coastal customers to get the door looked at annually rather than waiting for a noise.
Alley-access and detached garages. Large parts of Long Beach were laid out with the garage off a rear alley, often single-car and often still carrying an original one-piece tilt-up door on side-mounted springs. Those doors swing out as they lift and need clearance most modern setups don’t. We still service them, and when one is genuinely finished we’ll say so rather than keep patching it.
Post-war tract garages. Los Altos, El Dorado Park and the east side are largely 1950s build. Those doors are on their second or third set of springs by now, and a good share were sized by whoever came last rather than measured. An undersized spring quietly destroys the opener over a year or two, which is why we weigh the door instead of guessing.
Those are the three jobs people ask about most, priced up front. New doors start at $1,800+ installed. Everything else — repairs especially — depends on what the door actually needs, so we look at it, tell you the exact number, and you decide. Estimates are free and there is no trip fee.
Same prices in Long Beach as everywhere else we work. No coastal surcharge, no trip fee, and no charge to come and look.
Everything: general repair, broken springs, openers, new door installation, tune-ups and high lift conversions. One truck, one visit where the parts allow.
Worthy Garage Repair LLC is Michael and Eddy — two owner-operators, no call centre, no dispatcher, no subcontractors. The person who quotes your job is the person who does it, which caps how much work we take on and is exactly why the quote is the price.

These are the areas we’re in most often. If your street isn’t on the list we still cover it — Long Beach is well inside our area.
Yes, the whole city — from Bixby Knolls and California Heights down through Downtown and Alamitos Beach to Belmont Shore, Naples and the east side. Long Beach sits well inside our service area, not on the edge of it.
Yes, more than people expect. Salt air corrodes springs, cables, rollers, hinges and the bottom bracket, and cables in particular fail earlier near the coast than inland. If you are within a mile or two of the water, an annual look is worth it rather than waiting for a noise.
Yes. A lot of the older alley garages in Long Beach still have them. We service and repair them, and if one is genuinely past saving we will tell you that instead of selling you another round of patching.
We are open seven days, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and most jobs get handled the same day or the next. Call and describe the problem and we will tell you honestly which it is.
